ARTIST INFO



Hamza is an innovative documentary filmmaker, image-maker and curator with a design background crafting immersive digital and physical experiences. They studied at Leeds Arts University where they specialise in installations, print, and visual art that invites audiences to immerse themselves in evocative and emotive artistry.

Hamza had co-founded and curated with Leeds-based collective, ‘DNI Collective’ from 2022 till 2024 as an initiative to encourage community building for BIPOC creatives in the North of England specifically Leeds. The collective’s aim was to provide space for BIPOC artists to collaborate, connect, create and break into the curation space with underrepresented voices.

Hamza is currently in progress of establishing a grassroots/political arts magazine based in Leeds catering to Black, Brown, Asian, Women and Non-binary folk with a focus on SWANA, South & East Asian creatives.

Based in Leeds & London.
